My work lies at the interface between computational genomics and ecological evolution. In particular, I am interested in the question of how the cost of resources acquisition may have  influenced the molecular evolution of different classes of molecules ,organisms, and populations.

Understanding the association between elemental composition and biological function of genes, transcripts and proteins, will enable us to couple fundamental evolutionary and ecosystem processes. Also, it represents the basis of a new quantitative approach towards the molecular study of the adaptation processes to resource limitation.
